Scuba Diving

After a Discover Scuba Diving course (pool and after that an accompanied open water dive in the Caribbean Sea) at the Gri Gri Divers, Rio San Juan (Dominican Republic), in October 2000 I finally took a beginner course at the Neptuno Dive Center, Juan Dolio, in June 2001 when I was travelling again to the Dominican Republic. I took all additional courses at the Tauchsportschule Sindelfingen at home in Germany and in the meantime I achived the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification. First of all I’m interested in wreck diving but I also like colorful reefs and the dark and cold German lakes.
My diving development:
- June 2001: PADI Open Water Diver
- November 2002: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
- March 2004: PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty
- July 2004: PADI Dry Suit Specialty
- August 2004: Emergency First Response
- August 2004: PADI Rescue Diver
- May 2005: PADI Wreck Specialty
- July 2005: RAB SCR Rebreather User (Submatix 100 ST)
- August 2005: Start of the PADI Divemaster course, finished in June 2006
- July 2006: PADI Assistant Instructor
- July 2006: PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
- May 2007: PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
I gathered diving experience in some German lakes (Lake of Konstanz, Kreidesee Hemmoor etc.), the Red Sea (Egypt), the Pacific Ocean (Australia), the Indian Ocean (Bali/Indonesia), the Mediterranean Sea (Istria/Croatia, Rhodes/Greece) and the Caribbean Sea (Dominican Republic). Not much, but this is just the beginning.
