Die Whalewatching Tour war klasse! Wir waren mit einem grossen Segelkatamaran unterwegs, auf dem sicherlich 80 Passagiere Platz gehabt haetten. An Bord waren aber nur ca. 20 Leute, perfekt. Auch war der Katamaran richtig schnell unterwegs, 28 Knoten haben wir heute gemacht, der Rekord liegt wohl bei 32 Knoten. Neben vielen Walen, meist Mutter mit Kalb, einmal aber auch eine ganze Gruppe, haben wir auch eine grosse Schildkroete und viele Delphine gesehen. Die Wale waren zwar nie so nah am Boot wie man es immer auf den Bildern in den Prospekten sieht, aber schon recht nah, ausreichend zur begeisterten Beobachtung. Fuer die Digicam aber meist zu weit weg oder zu schnell wieder unter Wasser. ;-) Das Wetter war klasse, Sonnenschein pur und warme Temperaturen den ganzen Tag, unterbrochen von zweimal 10 Minuten wolkenbruchartigem Regen. Perfekt. Dank drei (!) Eincremsessions ueber den Tag verteilt mit 30er Sonnencreme haben wir uns auch fast keinen Sonnenbrand zugezogen.<\/p>\n

Morgen frueh um 8 Uhr geht es los zur Zweitagestour auf Fraser Island. Sind ja mal sehr gespannt, wie es dort ist. Nach den vielen Erzaehlungen, untermalt mit zahlreichen Bildern, unter anderem von Marion und Christoph, aber auch von Joern, ist die Erwartungshaltung schon ziemlich hoch. ;-)<\/p>\n
